Longer recording time and fast transfer rate with the new Sony quad layer 128gb professional optical disc for XDCAM archiving.

This archival quick random access disc will work in these 3 XDCAM equipment models only: The Sony Professional Media Station XDSPD1000, XDSPD2000, and the Sony XDCam Drive PDW-U2. It is not for use in XDCam cameras or for acquisition. Unlike the Sony PFD-23A and PFD-50DLA, this is a Write-Once-Read-Many (WORM) Disc, and so it cannot be re-recorded on, once it is used.

These quad layer discs will record approximately 450 min. of SD content in DVCAM mode at 25 Mbps and 270 min. -240 min. of HD content in MPEG mode at 50 Mbps.

These discs have a maximum writing transfer rate of 144 Mbps.
